London’s left-leaning Mayor Sadiq Khan has accused the British capital’s woke police force of “open” systemic sexism, racism and homophobia.

“It is possible to recognize the dedicated, decent and courageous officers we have in the police force, but also to say that we have real problems – real problems that have been emerging lately in relation to evidence of overt systemic sexism, racism, Homophobia and discrimination , misogyny – which need to be addressed,” Khan claimed in comments reported by PinkNews, despite what many right-wing people in the UK see as the Met’s already excessive focus on diversity and policing of people’s speech look at.

Police officers in London have shown a similar distrust to Mayor Khan as he has toward them, as the Metropolitan Police Federation – a union-like staff association representing thousands of officers up to the rank of chief inspector – has declared “no confidence” in him as a police and police officer Criminal inspector of the capital in February.
“The hard work of our colleagues – and public trust in our colleagues – is being eroded by politics. And the Mayor of London in particular,” said then-Chairman Ken Marsh.
“These officers are being unfairly berated for things they didn’t do… They will be forgotten by our mayor-elect. Enough is enough. Officials have no faith in Sadiq Khan,” he added.
Sadiq Khan’s police powers are currently under review by the Home Office, the central government department led by Priti Patel MP with broad responsibility for policing, border control and national security.
