New Horizons fan shows off adorable graduation cap

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan gets creative with their graduation cap and creates a cute design inspired by the game for it.

Summer is just around the corner and many students are preparing for their college degrees. Many take the opportunity to customize their graduation gown to celebrate the occasion, and gamers are no exception to the rule.

Such is the case with a certain student who decided to decorate his graduation cap with one Animal Crossing: New Horizons Theme. As the game has been a huge part of many players’ lives over the past few years, it’s a choice that many are excited about.

Reddit user jellyfish-squish shared his creation with the animal crossing subreddit and show off the cute design on her graduation cap. Your cap has a picture of you on it Animal Crossing: New Horizons Character standing on a beach holding a diploma in one hand and a net in the other. Below that, a text bubble declares, “Woo-hoo! I got a diploma!” Mimicking the success messages seen in-game after catching or fishing something. Below that is a small bow that reads “Off to New Horizons”, another reference to the game.


Many used the comments to congratulate jellyfish-squish on their graduation and to commend them for the design. It seems the community is pretty excited about both the choice and the execution. Others pointed out that a reference to the unfortunate side effect of college education – financial debt – would have been a fun angle too, especially when paying off debt to Tom Nook is a big part of the gameplay.

Many students have found similarly creative ways to decorate and customize their graduation caps. Minecraft and elden ring Fans have taken inspiration from the games to make their graduation caps their own. But during the worst of the pandemic Minecraft also played a larger role in graduation. When it was too dangerous for students to gather in real life, Minecraft has been used for graduation ceremonies itself, to allow students to celebrate together without risk of COVID-19 transmission.


While going to school can make it difficult to find the time to play video games, they can also be helpful in reducing the stress and anxiety that often accompanies acquiring an education. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a good choice as it can be played casually and in free moments. While the time for content updates for the game has come to an end, with the continued abundance of fan creations and players using it as a way to relax, it is likely that the game will remain popular with students and gamers in general for years to come .
