Mysterious ‘blue goosebumps’ on seabed trip scientists up

Unidentified “Blue Goo” creatures from the deep sea recently had scientists scratching their heads after spotting the mysterious blobs hanging from the sea floor in the Caribbean. during one Live broadcast (opens in new tab) During the expedition, team members debated what the sticky globules might be, but none of the researchers could come up with a definitive answer.

Several blue creatures were sighted on August 30 by scientists piloting a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) near the seabed around St. Croix, one of the US Virgin Islands. The mysterious blobs were discovered motionless on the seafloor between 1,335 and 2,005 feet (407 and 611 meters) below the waterline.
